What’s on at The Library?
Another edition of the quarterly publication What’s On at the Library is now available from Waltham Forest Library Service.
You can find information about Cityread London 2013, reading groups in LBWF libraries, family arts and craft activities and Rhythm, Rap and Rhyme events.
A great range of stimulating and exciting things to explore within the context of your local library.
Look out for the featured history events – stories of migration, history of your house and Just Like Morris – great activities reminding us of our past and how our experiences now will affect all our futures.

Fantastic Fireworks 2012
The Borough are holding a celebratory fireworks event this year on November 5th. You can download an LBWF event poster with the details here.
Date: 5 November 2012 Time: 5pm-10pm Location: Chestnuts Field, Waltham Forest Town Hall Complex, Forest Road, Walthamstow, E17 4JF Admission: Free Event 2012 has been an amazing year, and while we know it’s not over yet we want to help you round off the Olympic Year and our Big 6 celebrations with a BANG!
This year admission to the event is free for you and your family. And as well as a stunning fireworks display there’ll be music, entertainment, fairground rides and a wide range of refreshments to snack on, so come along and join the party!
SummerDaze 2012 is here…
A new edition of Summer Daze for 2012 is now available online from the Borough. Packed full of holiday activities, this Olympic Special Edition also features over 50 schools open for fun in the summer of 2012.

You can find a new Dads Club calendar on our main web site.
We have some great treats planned, right through to March so far. Whether you are a Cheeky Cooker, a Bubble Artist or just want to find a good read read in the library – them join the Dads Club here.
On March 12th we’ll be going to Brooks Farm in Leyton – bring some snacks with you…and watch out for the pink pig!
A date for your diary
Why not come along to our Strawberry Tea Party on 21st July 2011?
We’ll be holding this friendly event, with tea and cake, between 9.30am and 11.30am on that day.
The event is to support Breast Cancer Care – come along and join in, we’d love to see you in our Centre.

National Family Week 30th May – 5th June 2011
National Family Week is a series of events and activities designed to bring families together, provide inspirational family fun and let you have access to some family focused special offers too.

The mixture of live events and venues participating are supported by politicians, celebrities and a large array of companies and service providers from all sectors. You can see their support here.
There is sure to be an event during the week near you and you can use the National Family Week web site to check out your area.

Yoga and your CV?
We have just posted details online of our Wednesday yoga sessions.

We have also put, on our training page, details of our Kis Training pre-employment workshop sessions due to run during May and June.
These are a great way to find out more about your skills and how they would fit into the retail, hospitality, customer service, health, business or construction sessions.

Would you know what to do in an emergency? Come and get some training in our Centre.
We are holding First Aid Training for Parents in the Centre on Tuesday 29th March, 2011.
Starting at 1.00pm until 3.00pm, this is a great way to learn new skills and awareness in our supportive atmosphere.
Course cost is only £7.50, and you do need to book.
